Nobody can make the tea that tastes the same, or as good, as ours. That is why they keep coming back to us”.

Mention Kampong Gelam, and you cannot avoid hearing about one of its most iconic and popular landmark, Bhai Sarbat, the heritage tea stall on Baghdad Street that has been serving its legendary teh sarbat since the 1970s. Known for its range of teas, the tea stall serves what is arguably among the best “teh halia” or ginger tea, masala tea, and a variety of other drinks to tantalise your taste buds. To know how popular this stall is, over 1,000 cups of tea and coffee are served daily. More than three-quarters of it are the famous sarbat tea.

From its humble origins, this tea stall today serves 137 types of drinks. There is always something to suit each customer’s taste.
